abstract

transferrin acts as a vehicle for iron transportation between the absorption, storage and utilization sites in the body and, besides iron, its two highaffinity iron-binding site are capable of binding to 29 other elements. in physiological and pathophysiological conditions, transferrin’s properties are different and close attention to these properties is required. for further investigation for the above properties, it is necessary to have this protein in highly pure state.the purpose of this research was to isolate and purify the human transferrin from serum with native properties and high purity. the results of this research lead to a protocol for the isolation and purification of human transferrin which is cost-effective and time saving to produce antitransferrin antibody for immunological kits.

A Simplified Protocol for the Purification of Schwann Cells and Exosome Isolation from C57BL/6 Mice

Background: The purification of Schwann cells has proven to be a difficult process, with most methods requiring the use of special equipment. However, obtaining a sufficient number and high purity of Schwann cells is an integral aspect in their use for clinical application. Therefore, the aim of this study was to establish a simple and effective protocol for the isolation and purification of Sc...

Optimization of The Cell Aggregates Method for Isolation and Purification of Human Granulosa Cells from Follicular Fluid

Objective Aspirated ovarian follicular fluids (FF) contain luteal granulosa cells (LGC) and other contaminating cell types. Several strategies such as the antibody binding methods, the flask method, the cell strainer, and the positive selection of granulosa aggregates after density gradient centrifugation, were tested as LGCs purification methods. Each of these strategies has its own advantages...

new elaborated technique for isolation and purification of limonene from orange oil

essential oil of the orange peel which was extracted by hydrodistillation method showed 50 different mono- and sesquiterpenes on gc-ms analysis, in which limonene had the highest percentage (92.4%). due to various important uses of the compound, a method was developed for isolation and purification of limonene. in this method, for extra purification, a fractional distillation on vigreux column ...
